Cleaning and Care of Interstate Rest Area-Valley Springs, SD

The South Dakota Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive cleaning, custodial, minor plumbing/electrical repairs, kiosk and surveillance upkeep, grounds maintenance, snow/ice removal, and recycling services for the Valley Springs Interstate Rest Area (I‑90 milepost 412.1). The work follows the DOT “Caretaker’s Manual” and includes daily restroom cleaning, weekly inspections, annual deep‑cleaning, semi‑annual joint inspections, and seasonal 12‑hour on‑site presence. The contract is a fixed‑term, two‑year agreement beginning 1 Nov 2026.
