CHECK GUARANTEE SERVICES

Knox County is seeking a qualified firm to provide Check Guarantee Services. The services include check verification, guarantee of payment, and handling of returned checks. The proposal should include a detailed operational plan, proposed costs, and references. The contract will be for a period of one year with the option to renew for up to four additional years. The successful proposer will be required to provide a flat monthly fee for the service, including the lease of machines, maintenance, and replacement costs. • The County processes approximately 10,000 checks per month, with dollar amounts ranging from $3.00 to over $10,000. • The check service company will be responsible for guaranteeing payment to the County and handling returned checks. • The proposer should have experience in providing similar services to governmental agencies. • The proposal should include a preliminary work plan, timetable, and project management plan. • The proposer should also describe their support and maintenance plan, including on-site and off-site support, and the cost of on-site training.
