Description
The City of Kearney is seeking bids to remediate an existing underground concrete clearwell tank at its water plant and apply a new protective lining. The work includes removal of the existing concrete surface, preparation of the substrate, and installation of a polyurea, epoxy sprayliner, or an equivalent coating system to extend the life of the clearwell.
• Scope: Interior tank cleaning, surface preparation, and application of a durable coating system (polyurea/epoxy or equivalent) to a municipal water storage tank.
• Location: City Water Plant, 215 W. Major Street, Kearney, MO 64060.
• Requirements: City Business License, insurance with City as additional insured, bid guarantee, payment bond, prevailing wage (if > $75k), OSHA training, E‑Verify, proof of lawful presence, American‑made products, and several other compliance provisions.
• Mandatory site visit: Contractors must inspect the site no later than August 18, 2026.
• Bid deadline: Sealed bids must be received by 2:00 PM on August 20, 2026 at Kearney City Hall.
