The Meadows Boardwalk Trail Project

The Open Space Institute is seeking a contractor to construct a new boardwalk trail system at “The Meadows at Black River State Park.” The scope includes building a boardwalk, footbridge, over‑land trail, and three viewing platforms across a rural park setting. This is a design‑bid‑build project where the contractor will perform all construction activities under the agency’s design documents. • Construct 391 ft of boardwalk over wetland areas. • Install a 206 ft footbridge to span a waterway. • Build 2,956 ft of graded over‑land trail at grade. • Erect three scenic viewing platforms along the trail. • Provide all site preparation, grading, drainage, and finishing work required for a public recreational trail.
