Description
The Gwinnett County Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the entrance sign at the Environmental & Heritage Center. The work includes demolition of the existing sign, gates and lighting; design, fabrication and installation of a new monument sign with lighting; construction of a vehicular island, concrete walkway, and wood guardrail; full electrical upgrades; landscaping, and site grading. The contract will be awarded on a lump‑sum price‑only basis, with a 90‑day construction schedule and a 5 % retainage.
• Demolition of existing signage and associated utilities.
• Design, fabrication, and installation of a dual‑sided monument sign with high‑pressure laminate graphics and lighting.
• Construction of concrete vehicular island, walkway, CMU walls, and wood guardrail, plus full electrical service and lighting.
• Site grading, erosion control, landscaping (sod, shrubs, trees) and coordination with multiple utility providers.
• Mandatory insurance, E‑Verify compliance, and adherence to GA and county codes; 5 % retainage, $500/day liquidated damages for schedule overruns.
