CITYWIDE BACKFLOW PREVENTER TESTING, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVIC

The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to perform citywide testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of approximately 208 backflow preventers. The scope includes inventory verification, annual testing per state and CFPUA regulations, same‑day emergency response, detailed reporting, electronic data access, and coordination of quarterly inspection schedules. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and documentation, maintain required insurance, and comply with MBE/DBE and E‑Verify requirements. The contract is for one year with two optional extensions. • Perform annual testing/inspection of each backflow device and provide repair/replacement as needed without a second visit. • Deliver written inspection reports within one week of each cycle and grant online database access to the City and CFPUA. • Respond to emergency service requests the same day, and coordinate all site visits with City representatives.
