RFI: Specialized Domestic and International Cold-Chain Logistics Services for the International Reagent Resource (IRR)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking information from commercial logistics providers with experience in transporting temperature-sensitive biological materials. The goal is to identify vendors capable of supporting the domestic and international distribution of diagnostic reagents and other biological materials for the International Reagent Resource (IRR). The anticipated requirement may include services such as pickup, domestic and international shipment, refrigerated and frozen transportation, validated packaging solutions, shipment tracking, and customs brokerage services. Interested vendors should submit information about their company, experience, cold-chain capabilities, international shipping capabilities, surge capacity, quality management systems, and shipment tracking capabilities. • The IRR distribution contractor manufactures, stores, and prepares materials for shipment from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) facility in Manassas, Virginia. • The contractor requires reliable transportation services capable of maintaining strict cold-chain conditions while ensuring timely domestic and international delivery. • The RFI is issued solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. • Responses should not exceed ten pages and should be submitted electronically in PDF format.
