Road Salt

The City of Winston-Salem is seeking bids for the supply of road salt for ice and snow removal on roads. The contract period is from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026, with the option to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods. The successful bidder will be required to deliver 2000 tons of road salt, with a minimum of 100 tons per delivery, to the City's Salt Storage Facility. The salt must be treated with an anti-caking agent. • The contract requires compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The successful bidder must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and insurance applicable to perform the service in accordance with the specifications. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to make the award in the best interest of the City. • The contract includes provisions for indemnification, tax exemptions, and evaluation and selection of bids.
