2026 Prisoner Bus

The Nevada Department of Corrections is seeking bids for the purchase of two 2026 prisoner buses. The buses should be 40 feet long, with a heavy-duty diesel coach, and should meet the specifications listed in the 'Attachments' tab. The buses will be used for inmate transport and should have features such as semi-monocoque low-corrosion stainless steel frames, composite exterior body panels, and energy-absorbing front and rear bumpers. The buses should also have a Cummins X12 engine, an Allison B500 transmission, and a Bendix ADB22X disc brake system. The successful bidder will be required to deliver the buses to the High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, NV.
