NP RFP - ALEA Auctioneer Management

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) seeks a qualified auctioneer to manage public auctions of motor vehicles, trucks, construction and agricultural equipment, and other surplus property. The contractor must hold an Alabama auctioneer license and motor‑vehicle dealer license, provide live on‑site and simultaneous real‑time internet bidding, handle advertising, bidder registration, payment processing, and post‑auction logistics, including storage of unclaimed items. The contract is a one‑year term with up to four optional one‑year renewals and is awarded based primarily on experience (35%), responsiveness (25%), and the proposed commission rate (40%). • Must be a licensed Alabama auctioneer with ≥ 3 years experience and a motor‑vehicle dealer license. • Responsible for full auction execution: venue, advertising (newspaper, brochures, online), live audio‑enabled bidding, internet platform, staffing, equipment, and secure storage. • Compensation is a commission on gross sales; the agency will pay net proceeds (minus commission) within 10 business days after each auction.
