Tiny Home Village Site Development (Downloadable Application)

Pierce County is seeking input from developers, contractors, modular housing providers, and other qualified entities on how to identify, plan, and develop sites for tiny‑home villages and other non‑congregate transitional housing within the county. The RFI is purely informational; no competitive award is guaranteed. Respondents may propose owning or securing land, partnering with the county on county‑owned land, or assisting with site identification and development. The county wants to understand capacity, timelines, cost ranges, required infrastructure (water, sewer, electricity, hygiene facilities, community spaces, security, waste collection, etc.), and potential barriers. Information will help shape future procurement strategies for projects ranging from 5‑10 units up to 60 units, ideally located near transit and services. • Targeted project sizes: ~5‑10 units (small), 25‑60 units (medium‑large). • Required site infrastructure: utilities, hygiene, laundry, kitchen, community space, emergency access, security, waste services. • Development pathways: respondent‑provided site, county‑provided site, joint site identification & development, or partnership on specific components. • No detailed designs, cost estimates, or engineering studies required for this RFI. • Questions due Sept 23 2026; response submission due Sept 30 2026 (2 pm).
