Biohazardous Medical Waste Disposal

The 55th Contracting Squadron is seeking a contractor to provide biohazardous medical waste disposal services for the 55th Medical Group at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The contractor will be responsible for picking up, transporting, and disposing of packaged medical waste in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The contractor must be a Nebraska registered and permitted medical waste hauler and have at least two years of experience in the medical waste disposal business. The services will include routine pick-up schedules, emergency/contingency collections, and provision of invoices and certificates of disposal. The contractor must also comply with Air Force safety standards and regulations. Some key requirements include: • Providing clean and disinfected biohazard waste containers • Picking up filled biohazard waste containers on a routine schedule • Providing emergency/contingency collection services as needed • Complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations • Providing invoices and certificates of disposal for each shipment of medical waste • Complying with Air Force safety standards and regulations
