The Massachusetts State Police seeks the services of a professional, experienced, certified company(ies) to provide bio-hazardous clean up, removal, and restoration services. Most clean ups will be associated with crime scenes, accidents, suicides, etc. (blood, bodily fluids, etc.). However, services for water cleanup may be covered as well. The contractor must have a minimum of five years' experience in bio-hazard cleaning, provide immediate response, have biohazard placarding on its vehicles, and provide confidential service. The contractor must also be OSHA compliant, have ongoing medical waste handling and transporting process training for all employees, and have certified blood-borne pathogen technicians. Some key points to consider: • The contract duration is 3 years with two 2-year renewal options, for a total maximum contract duration of 7 years. • The estimated annual expenditure is $55,000. • The contractor must maintain general liability insurance, as well as environmental liability insurance. • The contractor must obtain written approval from the Department prior to substituting products. • The contractor must comply with the Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) requirements.
