Broker/Agent of Record- Real Estate Services

The Des Moines Public School District is seeking a broker or agent of record for real estate services. The successful firm or broker will enter into a professional services contract with the District. The broker should have knowledge of the local market and experience in the purchase and sale of properties in the Des Moines, Iowa area. The scope of work includes considering equitable outcomes by engaging mission-aligned buyers, summarizing outreach efforts, and advising the District on disposition strategies that support community goals. The broker should also provide timely responses to District inquiries, quarterly performance updates, and participate in annual reviews when requested. Key responsibilities include: • Providing real estate services to the District • Considering community benefit considerations and broker performance expectations • Engaging mission-aligned buyers, including nonprofits, affordable housing developers, community land trusts, minority-owned businesses, and governmental entities • Summarizing outreach efforts and advising the District on disposition strategies that support community goals • Providing timely responses to District inquiries and quarterly performance updates • Participating in annual reviews when requested and maintaining professional licensure in good standing
