Marine and Coastal Resources Energy Research Plan Request for Information

This RFI seeks stakeholder input to shape NYSERDA’s upcoming Marine and Coastal Resources Energy Research Plan. Respondents are asked to identify research gaps, data needs, and collaborative opportunities related to marine and coastal energy development, especially offshore wind, and its environmental and fisheries impacts. The information will inform future research priorities, funding considerations, and data‑sharing strategies, but no contract or funding is attached to this solicitation. • Provide up to five priority research or information needs for the next five years. • Describe expected changes in coastal/offshore uses and needed data for ecosystem management. • Suggest post‑construction monitoring studies for the first offshore wind projects. • Recommend data storage, preservation, and sharing standards. • Offer suggestions for NYSERDA’s collaboration with agencies, NGOs, industry, and research institutions.
