Lien & Title Search Services

The Boone County Purchasing Department is seeking a contractor to provide lien and title search services for the Boone County Collector's Office. The contractor will be required to perform complete, professional lien and title searches on property identified and requested by the Boone County Collector's Office, and report the results to the Collector. The services will be performed on an as-needed, if-needed basis, and the contractor must be licensed as a Title Insurance Agency by the State of Missouri Department of Insurance. The contract period will be from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must be licensed as a Title Insurance Agency by the State of Missouri Department of Insurance. • The contractor must have at least $500,000 in Errors and Omissions coverage and/or Professional Liability coverage. • The contractor must provide a copy of the vesting deed with each lien search. • The contractor will be paid based on the successful completion of all searches as requested by the Boone County Collector. • The contract may be renewed at the sole option of the County for an additional four one-year periods. • The County reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, for the convenience of the County, without penalty or recourse, by giving written notice to the contractor at least thirty calendar days prior to the effective date of such termination.
