Private Underground Utility Locating Service

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide private underground utility locating services. The vendor will be required to horizontally locate private underground utilities at sites throughout the state using methods such as electromagnetic and real-time ground penetrating radar. The vendor must be able to perform services on a statewide basis, including very remote areas, and provide photos of the marked utilities and GPR data for review upon request. The vendor must also use environmentally safe paint and flags to identify any discoveries. • The vendor must be able to locate utilities at depths of up to 30 feet below ground surface. • The vendor must be able to work in close proximity to building footprints or buried utility lines. • The vendor must be able to provide services on a statewide basis, including very remote areas. • The vendor must be able to provide photos of the marked utilities and GPR data for review upon request. • The vendor must use environmentally safe paint and flags to identify any discoveries.
