Request for Qualifications On-Call Professional Design and Engineering Services (2026-2028)

The City of Iowa City is seeking qualifications from consultants to provide professional engineering and design services for City projects. The selected consultants will aid in the planning, design, bid document development, and limited construction period services for projects. The City anticipates selecting multiple consultants from this process, and the selected consultants will be utilized for contracts approved through December 31, 2028. The scope of services includes overall project management and coordination, conduct of a kick-off meeting, review of available information, survey and field verification, creation of a base map, project team meetings, and provision of project plans and manuals. • The City is looking for consultants with expertise in one or more of the 14 specific disciplines described in the RFQ. • The City encourages firms and consultant teams with expertise in one or more of the specific disciplines to submit a response to this RFQ. • The qualification submittals will be used to evaluate and rate consultants for work on a variety of City projects. • The City reserves the right to select consultant firms and award contracts that are in the best interests of the City.
