Ft Lyon Inspection, Lab Analysis & Testing

The State of Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs is seeking qualified industrial hygiene and environmental consulting firms to perform pre‑construction hazardous‑materials testing on 110 exterior structures at the Fort Lyon Supportive Residential Community. The work includes visual asbestos inspections, sampling and laboratory analysis, lead‑based‑paint X‑ray fluorescence (XRF) testing or paint‑chip analysis, and comprehensive reporting to support subsequent abatement. The contract is valued at approximately $2 million, with the selected consultant expected to begin design services in early 2027 and support the construction phase through September 2027. • Perform exterior Asbestos‑Containing Materials (ACM) visual inspections, sampling, and lab analysis. • Conduct Lead‑Based Paint (LBP) XRF testing and/or paint‑chip analysis on exterior painted surfaces. • Deliver detailed hazard assessment reports with location maps, analytical results, and recommended remediation protocols. • Attend mandatory pre‑submission conference and site tour on October 22, 2026. • Submit a qualified‑submittal package by November 2, 2026 (electronic via RMEPS). • Participate in optional oral interview (Nov 3, 2026) if short‑listed. • Provide services through design start (Jan 8, 2027) to construction completion (Sept 2027). • Must employ at least 80 % Colorado labor and comply with state procurement and environmental regulations.
