Description
The City of Alexandria is seeking qualified engineering firms or individual engineers to provide design, construction observation, and implementation oversight for a natural‑gas distribution infrastructure safety and modernization project funded by a PHMSA grant. The work includes preliminary analysis, preliminary and final engineering design, and on‑site construction observation to replace existing steel or PVC gas mains with polyethylene mains and related sewer line work. Selection will be based on a points system emphasizing experience with similar PHMSA‑related projects, other federally‑funded construction projects, current capacity, and client references.
