The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) services for the B Wing Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Leavenworth VA Medical Center in Kansas. The project involves rebuilding and renovating cross corridors, replacing single pane windows, and replacing the HVAC system. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing plans and specifications for a construction contract. The evaluation criteria include team qualifications, previous experience, location and facilities, project control, capacity to accomplish the work, estimating effectiveness, and miscellaneous experience and capabilities. • The project requires a design completion within 180 calendar days. • The estimated construction contract magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. • The firm must have licensed professional architects and engineers registered in the state of Kansas or a state recognized by Kansas. • The firm must have experience with medical facility-related projects and infrastructure upgrades. • The firm must demonstrate its ability to control the design schedule and costs, conduct quality control reviews, and coordinate between design disciplines.
