REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to support a full repower of a 36’ Arctic Landing Craft at the USCG Industrial Production Facility (IPF) in Ketchikan, AK. The anticipated requirement includes the procurement and delivery of twin Volvo Penta D4 main propulsion diesel engines, DPI transmissions, Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) kits, and all associated wiring, cooling, and mounting hardware necessary to form a complete and compatible propulsion system. The Government requires all parts to be in new condition, sourced from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or an authorized distributor, with delivery to Ketchikan, AK, by September 1, 2026. • The repower of the Arctic Landing Craft requires the procurement of main propulsion diesel engines and associated parts. • The Government seeks to refine its requirements, understand the availability and lead times of the specified commercial items, identify potential barriers to competition, and assess the capabilities of authorized OEM vendors in the current marketplace. • Interested parties are requested to review the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) and provide feedback by addressing specific questions. • The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the RFI or otherwise pay for the information requested.
