Storage of USDA Commodity Products

The South Dakota Department of Education is seeking a qualified vendor to provide storage services for USDA commodity products. The vendor will be responsible for storing, managing, and distributing donated foods to eligible recipient agencies. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for an additional four years. The vendor must have adequate storage capacity, be able to track movement of products, and maintain inventory records. The vendor will be paid on a weekly or monthly basis, based on the weight of products stored and handled. • The vendor must have experience in storing and handling food products • The vendor must have a secure and clean storage facility • The vendor must be able to track movement of products and maintain inventory records • The vendor must be able to provide insurance coverage for the value of donated foods • The vendor must be able to deliver products to eligible recipient agencies in a timely manner
