Procurement Exemption for Ice Bumper Cars

The Pierce County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking to purchase replacement ice bumper cars through a sole source procurement exemption. The estimated maximum value of the purchase is $95,604. The department intends to purchase 12 replacement cars from Ice Bumper Cars International, as they are the only suitable replacements for the current fleet. The bumper cars must meet specific requirements, including compatibility with the cranes and charging infrastructure at Sprinker Recreation Center. • The replacement cars must be 24-Volt Electric Premium Ice Bumper Cars manufactured by Ice Bumper Cars International LLC, or similar models that are compatible with the existing infrastructure. • The cars must include dual joysticks, two controller boards, two 8” ice brushless motor wheels, an on-board computer, perimeter LED lights, fiberglass shell, inflatable tube around the shell, 2 12-Volt batteries, and a 110V 12-Amp float charger. • The County intends to use parts from the current fleet for maintenance and repairs of the new bumper cars.
