RFQ 26-010 - Architectural Services - Future Construction Projects

The Shawnee Mission School District is seeking qualified architectural firms to provide services for future construction projects. The projects include elementary school rebuilds, secondary school additions and renovations, a new career tech high school, and athletic facility renovations. The selected firms will be required to provide a range of services, including preliminary design, final design development, bidding, and construction phase services. The district is looking for firms with experience working with school districts and other educational institutions in the state of Kansas and the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. • The district is seeking firms with experience in public facility construction and working with construction management partners in a Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) delivery method. • Firms should have experience in developing community engagement strategies and working with clients during the design phase to identify required surveys and investigations. • The district is looking for firms with a strong understanding of the CMAR delivery method and the ability to provide detailed cost estimates and bidding documents. • Firms should have experience in reviewing contractors' change orders and certifying pay applications. • The district is seeking firms with a proven track record of providing high-quality architectural services and a commitment to meeting the district's needs.
