Installation Base Defense Security System (IBDSS) Maintenance (Intent to Sole Source)

The US Air Force is issuing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the maintenance of the Integrated Base Defense Security System (IBDSS) at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. The IBDSS utilizes radars, cameras, and thermal imagers integrated through Applied Research Associates' (ARA) Sentinel software to detect and respond to intrusion activity. The contract will provide for the uninterrupted maintenance, updates, and operational support of all IBDSS components. • The contract is expected to be awarded on or about 1 September 2026, with a start date of 28 September 2026. • The Product Service Code (PSC) is J063, and the NAICS code is 561621. • The size standard for this contract is $25 million. • The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, and the Government has determined that only ARA is capable of providing these services without interruption.
