Resident Fund Surety Bond Insurance

The Kansas Office of Veterans Services is seeking competitive bid proposals from qualified vendors to provide Resident Fund Surety Bond Insurance for the Kansas Soldiers' Home and Kansas Veterans' Home. The bond is required to obtain licensure and must be in the amount of $500,000 for the Kansas Soldiers' Home and $400,000 for the Kansas Veterans' Home. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing the surety bond for a period of three years, from October 1, 2025, to October 1, 2028. Bidders must submit their proposals by September 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing a surety bond for the Kansas Soldiers' Home and Kansas Veterans' Home • Ensuring the bond is in the required amount and meets all state and federal regulations • Maintaining the bond for the specified period of three years • Complying with all terms and conditions of the contract The scope of work includes providing the surety bond, administering the bond, and fulfilling all obligations pursuant to 42 CFR 483.10(C). The contractor must hold separately and in trust all resident funds deposited with the facility and administer said funds on behalf of said residents in the manner directed by federal and state law. • Providing a cost sheet with premium charges for the bond • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Kansas Act Against Discrimination and the Americans With Disabilities Act • Maintaining accurate records and reports • Cooperating with state officials and providing information as requested The bidder must carefully review all sections of the Invitation for Bid and respond as required properly and completely.
