No minimum workload is guaranteed; however, awardees must be able to provide at least 80 hours of mediation services per year and be available for statewide travel and training. The contract term runs from January 1 2027 to June 30 2028, with possible two‑year renewal options. • Flat hourly rate: $75/hr (plus travel/training reimbursements) • Minimum service commitment: 80 hours annually (≈ $6,000 base) • Required qualifications: licensed attorney, certified special‑education teacher, or court‑approved mediator with 40 hrs training • Evaluation criteria: mandatory requirements, mediation experience, qualifications, availability, oral presentation (optional) • Submission deadline: 4 PM 09/22/2026 via Kentucky e‑Procurement system • No guaranteed minimum volume; contracts awarded on a “first‑come‑first‑served” basis after evaluation • Potential contract renewal for up to two additional two‑year periods

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $30,000

The contract pays a flat $75 per hour with a required minimum of 80 hours per year, yielding a base annual revenue of $6,000. Most mediators will exceed the minimum, especially if they handle multiple disputes across the state, potentially working 200–400 hours annually. Adding travel reimbursements and training expense reimbursements could increase total compensation by 10‑30 %. Therefore, a realistic earnings range per contract term (18 months) is roughly $5,000 – $30,000, depending on the number of mediations performed and associated travel costs.
