Compact Wheelchair Recliner_Sources Sought Notice

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources that can provide a compact wheelchair recliner and bariatric bench for the Harry S Truman VA Medical Center Multi-Specialty CBOC Rolla. The recliner must be designed to accommodate wheelchairs and have a max-load rating of 880 lbs. The unit must also have a reclining mechanism, padded seat, backrest, and leg rest, and be made of medical-grade steel or aluminum frame. The bariatric bench must accommodate patients up to 825 lbs. • The recliner must have a durable medical-grade steel or aluminum frame designed for healthcare environments. • The recliner must have a reclining mechanism allowing multiple positioning options from upright through reclined position. • The recliner must have a padded seat, backrest, and leg rest using high-density foam or equivalent cushioning material. • The recliner must have upholstery that is medical-grade, fluid-resistant, and cleanable. • The recliner must have a seat width minimum of 32 inches to accommodate a wide range of patients.
