Notice of Intent to Award RFP 260000002219 - Movable Bridges

The Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide movable bridges operational and custodial services for several bridges in the Southwest and Metro regions of Michigan. The contract term is for three years with two one-year renewal options. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the United States Coast Guard Code of Federal Regulations, Title 33 Navigation and Navigable Waters, Part 117 Drawbridge Operation Regulations. Key responsibilities include: • Operational services for the bridges • Custodial services for the bridges • Compliance with federal regulations • Performance of duties as specified in the RFP The evaluation process will be based on a pass/fail criteria, and the contract will be awarded to the bidder who meets the specifications and offers the lowest price.
