Outreach Initiative Program

The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts is seeking proposals for the Outreach Initiative Program, which supports regional touring and outreach activities that increase opportunities for individuals to experience different forms of artistic and cultural expression and engagement. The program must provide activities to at least three islands, including outreach to rural and underserved communities. The proposed budget should identify program support costs, and the contractor will work independently with regularly scheduled reports to/meetings with SFCA staff. • Examples of statewide touring programs: Musical theatre productions, performing arts theatre productions, dance productions, musical concert series, immersive visual arts classes/workshops, cultural presentations. • The organization must have at least one year of successfully facilitating a statewide touring program. • The maximum requested amount is $50,000, with a 1:1 cost share match required. • Allowable expenses include salaries and wages, travel/transportation, marketing and promotion, royalty fees, accessibility accommodations, postage/shipping, and supplies/materials.
