Description

The Department of Mental Health is seeking proposals to establish contracts with one or more entities to provide a crisis stabilization treatment program for children ages 5-12 experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The program aims to stabilize and transition children back to their home and community. The contract period is 2 years with an option to renew for up to 3 additional years. • The program must provide a physical setting that meets the requirements of the program and is accessible to children and their families. • The program must offer clear daily structure and routines for children to participate in educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities. • The program must provide clinical services, including initial assessment and diagnosis, individual and group therapies, and psychiatric assessment and management. • The program must ensure that families are an integral part of treatment throughout the child's stay. • The program must demonstrate how it will meet expected outcomes during placement and at discharge.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

Based on the information provided, the budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated. However, considering the scope of the project, which involves providing crisis stabilization treatment programs for children, the budget is likely to be substantial. The Department of Mental Health will fund a maximum of 6 beds, and the contract period is 2 years with an option to renew for up to 3 additional years. Assuming an average cost per bed per year, the total budget for the initial 2-year contract period could be in the range of $500,000 to $1,500,000, depending on the actual costs and the number of beds funded.
