NIH TRANShare Program – SmartBenefits® Program Transit Benefit Services

The NIH is conducting market research (Sources Sought) to identify vendors capable of delivering a web‑based “SmartBenefits®” transit‑benefit service. The system will enable employers to credit employees’ monthly commuting subsidies directly onto SmarTrip® cards for use on mass‑transit modes (Metrorail, Metrobus, commuter rail, vanpools, etc.) in the National Capital Region. Responses will be used to shape a potential IDIQ contract (one‑year base period with up to four one‑year options). Small businesses are strongly encouraged to submit a concise capability statement (≤5 pages) describing relevant experience, staff qualifications, and any existing government contracts.
