BH1625-33 Operation and Maint. of the Wastewater Treatment Plant

The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports Division, is seeking a contractor to operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, pneumatic lift station, and aircraft sewage reduction station at Hilo International Airport. The scope of work includes daily operations and maintenance of the facilities. The contractor must possess a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractors “C-37” or “C-37e” license at the time of bidding. Some key aspects of the project include: • Daily operating and maintenance services for the treatment plant, lift station, and sewage reduction station • Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual services for the treatment plant, lift station, and sewage reduction station • UIC monthly and quarterly testing, and annual status report • Regular working hours "trouble call" repair work at the treatment plant, lift station, and sewage reduction station • Sludge removal on an as-required basis • Rust-removal and repainting • Parts and materials for repairs • Chemical cost reimbursement The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the work. The contract term is 36 months, with an option to extend for two additional 12-month periods.
