The County of Ocean is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive tire retreading services for its fleet of over 1,000 vehicles (approximately 4,000 tires). The contractor must track all casings with a bar‑coding system, meet strict turnaround times (7 days for on‑road tires, 14 days for off‑road tires), handle pickup and delivery at no extra charge, perform specified inspection and curing processes, use approved Bandag or H&H pre‑cured tread rubbers, and submit detailed reporting on quantities, repairs, and costs. The contract includes requirements for valve stems, paint application, and handling of non‑retreadable tires, with penalties for “cut‑down” tires.
