The City of Issaquah’s Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide design services for the NW Juniper Street Improvements project, which includes a shared‑use path, pedestrian lighting, striping, signage, driveway aprons, ADA ramps, and related civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and landscaping work. The consultant will support the City’s in‑house team on engineering, right‑of‑way, environmental documentation, and detailed design, and may be retained for the construction‑phase (CN) work. Federal FHWA/PSRC funds finance the project, and a voluntary SBE participation goal of 10 % is required.
• Scope: design of shared‑use path improvements, lighting, signage, drainage, and related structures.
• Services needed: project administration, right‑of‑way planning, landscaping/irrigation, NEPA & Critical Areas reporting, structural & geotechnical engineering, civil/traffic/stormwater design.
• Schedule: design work to be completed by May 2028; construction anticipated late 2028.
• Submission: RFQ responses due Oct 28 2026 via Public Purchase; questions due Oct 7 2026.
• Evaluation: based on experience, key personnel, project understanding, and familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards.
