UMRB - Plains Snow and Soil Moisture Monitoring Network

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Omaha District is seeking to establish a network of stations to monitor snowpack and soil moisture throughout the plains area of the Upper Missouri River Basin (UMRB). The project involves installing equipment and instrumentation at existing and new sites, with the University of Wyoming (UW), University of Montana (UM), and South Dakota State University (SDSU) being considered as sole source contractors due to their technical capability and existing relationships with landowners. The project aims to provide standardized performance across the basis, with approximately 162 new sites to be identified and equipped.
