Ice Melt Pellets (3-Blend Mix) for City & County

The City of Omaha and Douglas County are seeking bids for ice melt pellets, specifically a 3-Chloride mix of Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, and Sodium Chloride. The pellets must melt to -20 degrees Fahrenheit, and the preferred brand is Power Thaw by EC Grow. The term of the agreement will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of four one-year extensions. Bidders must provide brand and manufacturer information, as well as an MSDS with their bid. The estimated quantity for the City is 1,800 bags, and for the County is 500 bags. • The City will not accept quotes for Peladow, manufactured by Dow Chemical. • The City of Omaha Parks Department orders must be filled within twenty-four hours for pickup. • The awarded vendor will be provided with Parks Department contact information. • One-time delivery to the Douglas County Warehouse is required.
