Description
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA‑H) is seeking innovative, non‑destructive, AI‑enabled technologies to rapidly screen pharmaceutical products and raw‑material inputs through their packaging at ports of entry and other supply‑chain nodes. The FASTPASS program is organized into three 18‑month phases, moving from component‑level demonstrations to rugged, transportable prototypes capable of near‑real‑time screening with extremely low false‑alarm rates. Proposers may address either the sensing‑technology technical area (TA‑1) or the multimodal data‑fusion and AI‑modeling technical area (TA‑2), or both, and are encouraged to form multi‑party teams. The effort is funded via Other Transaction agreements, with milestone‑based payments and no disclosed ceiling; proposals must be submitted by 4 PM ET on 10 Nov 2026.
• Develop through‑packaging, non‑destructive sensor modalities (e.g., Raman, terahertz, X‑ray) that meet size, weight, power, and speed targets.
• Create advanced multimodal AI/ML models to fuse data from ≥ 3 sensor types, achieving ≥ 99.99 % specificity and rapid (≤ 13 s) analysis.
• Deliver phased prototypes (early integrated, mid‑phase, final integrated) with documented validation data, training materials, and integration guidance for FDA/customs workflows.
