Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) Qualified Product List (QPL)

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is opening a qualification process for Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) systems to be placed on an AIT Qualified Product List (QPL). Only Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of AIT systems may apply. The qualification consists of multiple phases: submission of a Vendor Data Package (VDP), readiness testing at the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL), certification testing, submission of a Qualification Data Package (QDP), bailment of five production‑representative systems (one for the TSA Integration Facility and four for airport field testing), cooperative vulnerability penetration assessment (CVPA), and Independent Operational Test & Evaluation (IOT&E) at selected U.S. airports. Successful applicants are added to the QPL, making them eligible for future TSA procurements, but no contract award is guaranteed by the qualification alone. All personnel must have Secret‑level clearance, Facility Clearance, and sign TSA Form 2815 NDAs; the process is governed by RFO FAR clauses and strict Buy‑American/Trade‑Agreement requirements. • Eligibility: OEM of AIT system, Secret clearance, ability to provide five production‑representative units, and compliance with detection standards (Tier IV/DS 4.1 and DS 6.3a). • Timeline: SSI vetting request within 10 days of posting; VDP and QDP submissions due within 40 days of posting (approximately early March 2026); final submission deadline for contract response is 30 Sep 2027. • Testing: Readiness, certification, qualification, CVPA, and IOT&E phases required; funding limited to the first two qualified applicants per track.
