The City of Columbus Public Utilities Department seeks a contractor to fully recondition a single 250‑HP vertical motor (US Motor model) currently installed at the Parsons Avenue Water Plant. The scope includes logistics (pickup and return), comprehensive electrical testing (high‑pot, polarization index, phase‑balance, resistance), terminal‑strip verification, complete mechanical disassembly, bearing replacement with specified lubricants, stator cleaning, varnish application, possible winding rewinding, dynamic balancing, painting to match existing color, and delivery of all test data and reports. This is a one‑off, FOB delivery contract with the motor remaining the city’s property throughout the process.
• Pickup, transport, and FOB return of the motor to/from a repair facility.
• Full electrical testing pre‑ and post‑repair, including high‑potential and polarization index measurements.
• Mechanical overhaul: bearing replacement (high‑thrust ball bearing with Mobil SHC 624 ISO 32 oil, standard bearing with EP‑2 grease), cleaning, varnishing, and dynamic balancing.
• Documentation: complete test reports, repair logs, and final acceptance paperwork.
