Description
The City of Sandy is seeking a vendor to design and build a float for the 2026 parade season. The float should reflect the theme "Patriotism and Play: a 250th Celebration" and must be built on an existing chassis provided by the city. The designer/builder will have an approximate budget of $14,000 to accomplish the design and building of the float. The completed float must be delivered to Sandy City before 3:30 PM (MTN Time) on May 27, 2026. The designer/builder will be responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, and repairs to their float design through the third week of August 2026.
Key considerations for the proposal include:
• Design & Theme Alignment: How well the float design reflects and aligns with the event theme
• Structural Stability: Soundness and safety of the float's construction
• Structural Durability: Ability of the float to maintain its integrity throughout transport, staging, and the parades
