TRASH CAPTURE PROJECT 7TH STREET

The City of Richmond is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate an existing storm‑water drainage facility on 7th Street and install a state‑of‑the‑art trash capture system. The work includes selective demolition, concrete structures, two Gross Solids Removal Devices (GSRDs), a packaged pump station with electrical, roadway and curb improvements, lighting, signage, ornamental fencing, and an optional solar‑powered security camera system. The contract is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a 180‑working‑day completion schedule and strict bonding, insurance, and liquidated‑damages provisions. • Demolition of existing pavement, curbs, sidewalks, speed bump, and related structures. • Installation of two GSRDs, cast‑in‑place concrete walls, a packaged pump station, and associated electrical and control systems. • Site‑work including asphalt paving, curb & gutter, sidewalks, lighting, signage, ornamental steel fencing, and optional solar‑powered cameras. • Mandatory 10 % bid bond, 100 % performance and payment bonds, 5 % retainage, and compliance with CALTRANS, City, and California labor/wage rules.
