Magnesium Hydroxide Re-Bid

Union County, North Carolina, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and delivery of Magnesium Hydroxide Slurry (60%) for use in wastewater treatment operations. The contract will have an initial term of two years, with the possibility of up to three one-year renewal terms. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering the slurry to five Water Reclamation Facilities (WRFs) and several other locations. The bidder must provide a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Certificate of Analysis (COA) with each delivery. Key aspects of the job include: • Delivering Magnesium Hydroxide Slurry (60%) to designated locations • Providing a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Certificate of Analysis (COA) with each delivery • Ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws applicable to the chemicals being delivered • Having a spill prevention program in place, including spill kits on delivery trucks • Notifying the County WRF Manager immediately in the event of a spill • Paying any fines levied against the County for spills resulting from the supplier's actions • Paying any costs incurred for clean-up and emergency response resulting from a spill
