NOTICE TO ENGINEERING FIRMS REGARDING A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND LETTERS OF INTEREST FROM TDOT PRE-QUALIFIED FIRMS

The City of Murfreesboro is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide construction engineering and inspection services for the West Rutherford Blvd. Extension project. The services may include construction engineering and inspection, full-time inspection services for bridge construction, and providing inspection services for roadway construction activities. The contract method of payment will be direct cost plus net fee with an estimated schedule of approximately 30 months. The City will evaluate the prequalification statements and choose several finalists to respond to an RFQ. The factors that will be considered in evaluation of proposals include firm experience, past experience, evaluations on prior projects, and knowledge of construction of bridge structures. Some key aspects of the job include: • Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the duration of the project • Performing full-time inspection services for bridge construction activities • Providing inspection services for roadway construction activities • Coordinating with the City, Contractor, utilities, and other stakeholders • Monitoring contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and City requirements • Providing documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping necessary to support project administration and payment
