120mm, Advanced Tungsten Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T) KE-W (Kinetic Energy with Tungsten) A1® and KE-W A4® or equivalent cartridges

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey, is seeking possible sources for the production of 120mm, Advanced Tungsten Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T) KE-W (Kinetic Energy with Tungsten) A1 and KE-W A4 or equivalent cartridges. The cartridges will be used in the M256 cannon and must be compatible with the Abrams M1A1 tank. The government is looking for companies that can produce these cartridges and is seeking information on their technical capabilities, production capacity, and experience with similar products. • The cartridges must meet specific performance requirements, including compatibility with the M256 cannon and the Abrams M1A1 tank. • The government is seeking companies that can produce 4,000 cartridges per year. • The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. • Companies must be registered with the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office to obtain a copy of the specification and top drawings. • The government reserves the right to reject any private sector input as a result of this sources sought notice.
