Fuel Hedging

Valley Metro is seeking a fuel hedging service to assist in making systematic financing decisions related to fuel consisting of compressed natural gas, diesel fuel, and gasoline. The contract will be for a period of up to five years. The successful offeror will be required to provide a detailed itemization of costs and a pricing proposal. The evaluation criteria include experience and expertise, strategy and method of approach, and pricing proposal. • The offeror must be registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor with the National Futures Association and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. • The offeror must have experience in fuel hedging in the public transportation sector and previous successful implementations. • The offeror must provide a detailed work plan and staffing plan. • The offeror must provide a pricing proposal that is firm-fixed and fully burdened to include all necessary elements.
