SFC Homes

The Department of Human Services Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to operate a Specialized Foster Care (SFC) Home at DCFS’s buildings A and B at the Enterprise Campus located at 2655 Enterprise Road, Reno, NV 89512. The goal of this project is to increase the number of beds available for Nevada’s youth in need of SFC, provide evidence-based and trauma-informed support for foster youth, and minimize disruptions for foster youth. The contract term is expected to be four years, subject to Board of Examiners approval. • The vendor will be responsible for providing SFC homes in state-provided buildings. • The vendor will be required to provide evidence-based and trauma-informed support for foster youth. • The vendor will be expected to minimize disruptions for foster youth. • The vendor will be required to work with hard-to-place youth. • The vendor will be expected to provide a detailed implementation plan and timeline that maximizes the use of the buildings.
