Fiber Installation Cabling Phase II

Colby Community College is seeking a qualified vendor to design, supply, and install a single‑mode fiber‑optic cabling system (Phase II) that will extend the campus network from the main distribution frame to fourteen new Intermediate Distribution Frames across eight campus buildings. The work includes providing 48‑strand (24‑pair) armored OS2 fiber, splicing, termination with SC‑UPC connectors, installing 19‑inch rack‑mount or exterior pedestal enclosures, testing each link for 10 Gbps performance, and delivering full documentation and warranties. The project must be completed by mid‑December 2020 with no disruption to existing campus operations. • Install 14 IDFs with 48‑strand single‑mode OS2 armored fiber runs from the MDF to each location. • Provide and install 19‑inch SC‑UPC fiber patch panels, racks, and exterior cabinets as specified per building. • Perform splicing, termination, labeling, and certify all links for 10 Gbps (future‑proof to 100 Gbps) and submit detailed test reports. • Coordinate utility locates, maintain existing plant integrity, and comply with campus construction access policies. • Submit a fully itemized cost proposal (hardware, labor, integration, maintenance, training, warranty, PM, miscellaneous) valid for 45 days.
