The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to retrofit two Chevy Traverse vehicles with handicap accessible transport chairs. The chairs must be electrically powered, have a manual operating system as a backup, and meet specific requirements such as being upholstered in a water-proof material, matching the interior color of the vehicle, and having a weight capacity of at least 300lbs. The contractor will be responsible for removing the original seats, installing the new transport chairs, and returning the vehicles within 30 calendar days. The government will provide the vehicles and deliver and pick up the vehicles within 50 miles of the Biomedical Research Center. • The contract will be a firm fixed-price award to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. • The evaluation factors will include price, technical capability, past performance, and delivery schedule. • The contractor must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. • The contractor must provide sufficient information to demonstrate their capability to provide the required product or service. • The contractor must include unit and total price, shipping and handling costs, delivery timeframe after award, and delivery terms in their quote.
